WATERFORD, C.T. & BUFFALO, N.Y -: The No.7 SUNY Geneseo men's cross country team traveled to Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon to compete in an invitational featuring 12 nationally ranked teams, and came away with a third-place finish. The Knights also competed at the Canisius Alumni Classic and placed third overall.
Connecticut College Invite
The Knights finished in third place at the Connecticut College Invite, beating out No. 4 NYU by four points with 118 points.
Ryan Hagan led the way for Geneseo, finishing in second place with a final time of 23:53.67.
Emerson Comer was close behind, taking fifth at 24:16.07, followed by
Pierce Young in 16th, crossing at 24:25.45.
Collin Brown (24:32.45) and
Thomas Blake (25:08.65) added to the Knights points, rounding out the top five runners for Geneseo.

Canisius Alumni Invite
Geneseo took third place in the Canisius Alumni Invite, with
Anson Butler leading the pack in 7th place with a time of 25:22.8.
Kole Owens and
James Tette took 10th and 12th place with final times of 25:36.5 and 25:48.1. Teammates
Jack Hicks (26:16.9) and
Mario Verruto (26:26.5) capped off the Knights top five runners, both finishing in the top 30 against 185 athletes.

The Knights are headed to the Empire 8 Championships on November 1st, looking to claim the program's 11th-straight conference title.
