GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo currently has five teams ranked inside the top-25 of their respective sports as fall sports approach postseason play and preseason polls for winter sports begin to get announced.
The USCHO just announced its Division III poll on October 13, and the Geneseo men's ice hockey team came in ranked No. 3 in the country, jumping one spot up from the end of last season. Additionally, Geneseo was ranked in the No. 4 spot by D-III Hockey News. The Knights are coming off a frozen four appearance last season, where they fell to the eventual national champion, Hobart.

D-III Hockey News Poll
The first National Power Index (NPI) ratings were released this week for Division III field hockey, and the Knights came in at the No. 19 spot, the second highest ranked team from New York State, behind Hamilton. Geneseo is currently on a nine-game win streak with a record of 13-1 overall and 5-0 in Empire 8 action. Additionally, the Knights were ranked No. 23 in the NFHCA poll.

Both the men's and women's cross country teams landed inside the top-15 of the USTFCCCA polls with the women coming in at No. 11 and the men at No. 7. The Knights will split up this weekend for their final meets before the Empire 8 championships, competing at the Connecticut College Invite and the Canisius Alumni Classic.
USTFCCCA Polls
The preseason men's swimming and diving poll was announced on Friday, October 17, and the Knights cracked the top-25 in the No. 25 spot. Geneseo is coming off the program's 11th-straight conference title and a 21st place finish at NCAA's last year. On the women's side, the Knights were among the teams receiving votes.
