ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo track and field teams traveled to RIT on Thursday evening and came away with some impressive performances.
Zoe Connor highlighted the action for the Knights, breaking her own program record set five days ago in the weight throw. Connor finished first with a distance of 17.81m, which also moved her up to 9th in the country in the weight throw. Teammate
Lauren Jaklitsch finished second in the event at 17.11m. Connor then added to her impressive day by taking first in the shot put at 12.96m, which also broke her own program record in the event.. In the 60m hurdles,
Jillian Ambler finished first overall with a time of 8.93 seconds. Ambler went on to place first in the long jump as well, recording a distance of 5.61m, while
Ariana D'Onofrio finished second.
Janelle Eckl and
Lanna Wandy took third and fifth, respectively, in the high jump.
Elsye Klump rounded out the action with a third place finish in the triple jump.
On the men's side,
Raymond Trottier provided a highlight for the Knights by taking first overall in the shot put with a distance of 14.47m, while teammate
Chris Miller took fourth.
Chris Desiderio went on to take second in the triple jump at 12.86m. For the full results from the meet,
