GENESEO, NY- The Geneseo Women's Swim & Dive team defeated RIT in their two-day meet against the Tigers 214 to 140, and the Knights set 10 pools records during the meet.  

Courtney Sorbello, Alise Hale, Emily Thomas and Alex Sotek opened the meet with a first place finish and a pool record in the 400-yard medley relay with a finish time of 3:50.66. Hannah Brockman followed suit in the 1650-yard freestyle, winning with a time of 17:23.27 and set a new pool record. Alise Hale dominated in the fly, setting new records in both the 100-yard and 200-yard with finish times of 56.60 and 2:04.61, respectively. She continued with another first place finish in the 200-yard IM. Thomas touched the wall at 1:05.07 in the 100-yard breaststroke, taking first place and now holds a new pool record, and in the 100-yard freestyle, Alex Sotek broke the pool record with a time of 52.03.  

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Kaitlyn Geary, Erin Johannsen, Sorbello and Sotek took first place, setting a pool record with a time of 1:36.01. Abby Funk took first place in the 500-yard freestyle and set a new pool record, touching at 1:45.77 . The 400-yard freestyle took first, with Sotek, Sorbello, Johannsen and Nina Chicatelli setting a pool record with a time of 5:03.31.. Mckayla French took the top spot in the 400-yard IM, while the 200-yard medley relay, Sorbello, Hale, Thomas and Sotek hit the wall first, with a new pool record time of 3:32.64. In diving, Lydia Benjamin and Lauren Savage put points on the board for Geneseo, with the team winning 213 to 140.
