GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's cross country team opened up their 2024 campaign with a bang, taking first overall at the Fisher-Rodenbeck Invite. The Knights placed eight runners in the top-13 to finish with 27 points.
Connor Hitt led the way for the Knights, taking second overall with a time of 19:36.4.
Michael Taranto (19:43.4) and
Pierce Young (20:02.5) were right on his tail, finishing second and third, respectively. The Knights strong depth continued to show as
Logan Baker joined them in the top-10 with an eighth place finish at 20:08.2. Samuel Viglione (20:17.6),
Ethan Becker (20:18.2),
Cayden Robleno (20:23.1), and
James Tette (20:24.7) rounded out the top runners for the Knights finishing 10th through 13th, respectively.
This marks the sixth season in a row that the Knights have opened their fall campaign with a first place finish at the St. John Fisher Invite. For the full results from the race,
