GENESEO, NY: The Women's Swim & Dive team won 223 to 77 over Brockport this afternoon and the team now has four wins under their belt.
The 200-yard medley led the way with a first place finish, with Maya Marcan,
Alex Sotek,
Emily Thomas and
Erin Johannsen finishing at 1:51.57.
Abby Funk,
Makayla French and
Sinead Devaney took the top spot in the 400-yard IM.
Hannah Brockman and
Thalia Marquez took first and second in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing at 1:59.82 and 2:04.14 respectively. Johannsen had another first place in the 100-yard backstroke, and teammate
Sarah Cooper did the same in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Sotek took first in the 200-yard butterfly, touching the wall at 2:16.03 and followed it with another first place in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing at 55.05. Funk edged out Devaney in the 200-yard backstroke to take first and Thomas took first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a finish time of 2:32.79.
Emily McCord,
Karly Bray and
Maeve Wright swept the 500-yard freestyle, with McCord in first with a time of 5:31.80. French,
Kaitlyn Geary and Marcyan finished on top in the 100-yard butterfly, followed by Sotek, French and Devaney and leading the 100-yard IM. The 200-yard freestyle of Thomas, Johannsen, Geary and McCord took first, finishing at 1:41.84.
Lauren Savage took first in the 1-meter diving for Geneseo, scoring 223.30 and followed it with another top finish in the 3-meter, scoring 229.00.
The Knights will head to the DIII shootout hosted by the University of Chicago on November 8th.
