FREDONIA, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's cross country team traveled to Fredonia for the Niagara Regional Championship race on Saturday, Nov. 16, and earned a second place finish behind three runners placing in the top-10.
Penelope Greene led the way for Geneseo, finishing first overall in the race with a time of 21:13.3. Greene's impressive senior campaign continues with the first-place finish, after earning the top spot two weeks prior in the Empire 8 Championship.
Lilly Fowler-Conner and
Ann Brennan joined Greene in the top-10, placing fourth at 22:01.8 and sixth at 22:08.5, respectively.
Gabby McCarthy and
Jillian O'Rourke rounded out the top-five runners for the Knights, finishing 12th (22:46.3) and 13th (22:49.1), respectively.

Geneseo will now turn their attention towards the NCAA Championship race, next Saturday, Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. in Terra Haute, I.N.
