ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team traveled to RIT on Wednesday, Oct. 23 for their final match of the fall semester. The Knights couldn't pull out the victory, falling 6-1 and moving to 8-3 overall on the season.
Geneseo wasn't able to earn the doubles point, falling in all three matches.
Samantha Rava and
Rachel Molloy fell at first doubles, 6-0,
Natalie Pipes and
Joann Catalano dropped the second doubles match, 6-2, and
Emily Kamber and
Rebecca Blackburn came up short at third doubles, 6-1.
Elena DeRiso highlighted the match for the Knights, winning at sixth singles 6-3 6-3. Geneseo wasn't able to pull out another singles match, and ultimately fell by a score of 6-1.
The Knights will take some time off before returning to action in the spring.
