GENESEO NY- The Men's Cross Country team hosted the 43rd Annual Mike Woods Invitational this morning at the National Warplane Museum on Saturday morning and earned first place at the meet out of 33 teams.
Ryan Hagan led the way for the Knights, taking third with a personal best of 24:22.5, following close behind the top two runners from RPI and Carnegie Mellon.
Alex Hillyard was right behind Hagen, taking fourth with a time of 24:26.3, who also ran a personal best. Austin Schoen took tenth for the Knights, crossing the finish line at 24:37.8. Charlie Wilson and Pierce Young took 14th and 15th respectively, with Charlie finishing at 24:40.4 and Young only .4 seconds behind with a new PR of 24:40.8. William Hall took 17th, only three seconds behind Young with a time of 24:43.9. Emerson Comer rounded out the top seven for Geneseo, finishing at 25:10.2 and a new personal best.
The Knights will head to their first Empire 8 Championship on November 2nd.
