FREDONIA, N.Y. and BETHLEHEM, P.A. - The SUNY Geneseo women's cross country team competed at both the Fredonia State Invite and the Paul Short Run on Saturday, September 30. The Knights finished second at Fredonia, and at the Paul Short Run Geneseo was the top finishing Division III school, taking 22nd overall.
In the 6k race at Fredonia, the Knights were led by
Marlo Townsend, who finished third with a time of 23:40.7.
Katherine Peterson,
Isabel Marzec and
Gabby McCarthy all finished in the top 10, taking sixth, eighth, and tenth, respectively.
Sara Mongelli and
Georgia Ross rounded out the top six runners for Geneseo. For the full results from the meet,

In the Paul Short Run,
Penelope Greene led the way and was the fastest Divison III runner, taking 49th with a time of 21:17.8.
Lilly Fowler-Conner and
Rachel Hirschkind then kept the strong running going, crossing the finish line at 21:44.1 and 21:52.9, respectively.
Katie Grossman was the fourth Knight to finish the race with a time of 22:16.3, while
Jillian O'Rourke tallied a time of 22:33.9.
Katherine Vogel and
Ann Brennan rounded the top seven runners for Geneseo. For the full results from the meet,

Geneseo will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 14 when they host the Mike Woods Invite.
