GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team remained undefeated in SUNYAC play on Wednesday afternoon as they took down Oswego 6-3. The Knights honored their three seniors (
Maggie Hintz,
Alex Galle, and
Rory Tobin) with a brief pre-match ceremony for Senior Day.
Geneseo dominated doubles play, earning a 3-0 sweep.
Rory Tobin and
Natalie Pipes cruised to an 8-0 win at first doubles, while
Alex Galle and
Talia Wutz earned an 8-3 victory at third doubles.
Samantha Rava and
Katie Kujawa battled to a hard fought victory at second doubles, 8-5.
The Knights clinched the conference win in singles action, as Pipes, Tobin, and Wutz all won their matchups. Pipes and Tobin won at first and second singles, 6-0 6-0 and 6-4 6-1, respectively, while Wutz won at sixth singles 6-1 6-1.
Geneseo will return to action on Saturday as they travel to Cortland.
