ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's and women's cross country teams shined at the Roberts Wesleyan Harry F. Anderson Invitational on Saturday, with both teams taking first place.
On the men's side, the Knights had six runners place in the top 10, with
Nick Andrews earning first overall in the 8k race with a time of 24:37.6.
Austin Schoen,
William Hall, and
Nick Bauman finished third through fifth, respectively. Rounding out the runners in the top 10 were
Anson Butler in eighth and
Kyle Gronau in ninth. The Knights dominated the competition, putting up just 20 points with Daemen in second at 79.
On the women's side, Geneseo beat out the hosts for the top spot by 15 points.
Sierra Doody and
Ann Brennan highlighted the meet for the Knights, taking fourth and fifth with times of 18:42.9 and 18:49.4, respectively.
Marie Naudus and
Marlo Townsend took 11th and 13th, while
Isabel Marzec and
Isabella Adrian rounded out the top six for Geneseo in 20th and 21st.
