GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's swimming and diving team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday afternoon at Case Western, 178-122.
Geneseo opened up the meet with a first place finish and 11 points in the 200 yard medley relay.

Lauren Sposili,
Alexis Falvo, and
Amaya DiGiovanni teamed up to take the top spot with a time of 1:48.42.
Hannah Brockman and
Abby Funk then kept the winning ways going in the next event by finishing first and second in the 1000 yard freestyle, respectively.
Sposili earned her second first place finish in the meet by touching first in the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:05.48.
Alise Hale then followed it up in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:12.85 and a first place finish. Sposili added another win to her meet later, touching the wall in 2:25.12 in the 200 yard breaststroke. Brockman continued to impress in the distance events, earning the top spot in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:16.04.
Alexis Falvo took first in the 100 yard butterfly, touching in 58.63.
Alexandra Pucci-Schaefer led the Knights in diving, placing third and fourth in the one and three meter dive, respectively.
Geneseo will return to action on Friday, Jan. 20 when they host Brockport.
