Box Score MENDON, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior Alexandra Galle finished as the Knights' only double-winner as the Knights fell to host St. John Fisher, 6-3, on Friday afternoon at Mendon Racquet Club.

Galle teamed with senior Kylie Seiler to clinch an 8-5 victory at first singles, but it was the only doubles flight the Knights secured. Julia Paolino and Clare Douglas nearly nabbed second doubles, but came up just short, 8-6, while Katie Kujawa and Meghan Heeney took a loss at the third flight.

In singles play, Galle earned a straight-set victory at the top flight, winning 6-3, 6-1. Kujawa added a straight-set victory at sixth singles, defeating her opponent, 6-1, 7-5. Seiler and senior Abigail Rockwood each took their opponent to a third-set super tiebreaker, but neither could secure a victory. Seiler dropped her second singles match 4-6, 6-3, 10-5 while Rockwood fell, 6-4, 3-6, 8-6.

The Knights (0-2) will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 14 when they travel to Fredonia to face the Blue Devils in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) opener.
