ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The top-ranked SUNY Geneseo Women's Cross Country team swept the top nine finishes at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational hosted by Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday morning at the Matt St. James Cross Country Trails in Rochester.
Kathleen McCarey placed first overall, finishing the 5K race with a time of 17:30.9.
Windsor Ardner took second with a time of 17:46.6 followed closely by
Rachel Hirschkind in third with a time of 17:49.3.
Sierra Doody ran an 18:14.0 for fourth while
Erin Eivers rounded out the Knights' top five with a finishing time of 18:19.3.
Lilly Fowler-Conner, Gabriella McCarthy,
Katherine Vogel and Kaitlyn Grossman rounded out the Knights' top nine, all finishing in under 19:00.
The Knights scored a perfect 15 points, topping host Roberts Wesleyan (2nd, 75), NCAA Division I St. Bonaventure (3rd, 83) and SUNYAC rival Cortland (4th, 106) on their way to a first-place finish.
Geneseo will compete again on Saturday, October 1 when the team hosts the
Mike Woods Invitational at the Geneseo National Warplane Museum.
