GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo Women's Tennis team fell in its season opener, dropping a home match to visiting Nazareth, 9-0, on Thursday afternoon.

Kylie Seiler teamed at first doubles but fell, 8-3 while junior
Meghan Heeney and sophomore
Katie Kujawa fell 8-3 at the third flight. Senior
Abigail Rockwood and sophomore
Julia Paolino dropped an 8-1 match at second doubles.
In singles play, Paolino nearly snagged a point for the Knights at the sixth flight but fell in a third set super-tiebreaker, 6-4, 2-6, 10-5. Galle battled at the top flight, falling 6-4, 6-1, while
Clare Douglas made her debut at fourth singles.
The Knights (0-1) will take part in the Mary Hosking Invitational, hosted by William Smith in Geneva, N.Y. beginning on Saturday, Sept. 3.
