GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's swimming and diving team remained unbeaten this season with a win over Alfred St. on Friday evening at Alumni Pool. The Knights are now 6-0 on the season will return to action after the holiday break on Jan. 14.
The Knights kicked things off with a first place finish in the 200 yard medley.
Nina Chicatelli,
Lauren Sposili,
Alise Hale, and
Amaya DiGiovanni teamed up for a time of 1:50.34. Geneseo won the next two events with
Hannah Brockman taking the 1000 yard freestyle and
Abby Funk winning the 200 yard freestyle.
Jaila Williamson got the Knights back on top in the 50 yard breaststroke, touching first in 32.63. The Knights earned first place points in the next eight swimming events to help cap off the victory.
Geneseo swept the top spots in the diving events as well, with
Jenna MacLeod taking first in the one-meter dive and
Alexandra Pucci-Schaefer winning the three-meter dive.
The Knights will get back in the pool on January 14 at Case Western Reserve.
