GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's swimming and diving team capped off their first semester of action with a win over Alfred St. in Alumni Pool on Friday evening. The Knights sit at 6-0 on the season and will return to the pool after the holiday break.
Geneseo kicked off the meet with a first place finish in the 200 yard medley relay as
Ben Ludlow,
Jack Cimorelli,
Sam Matthews, and
Jordan Nielsen finished in 1:33.19. Matthews then racked up another top finish two events later in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:42.96. Chester Pergan kept the winning ways going in the 50 yard backstroke, and then the Knights made it three-straight first place finishes with
Jake Nielsen winning the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 26.28. Geneseo went on to win six more swimming events to help cap off the win.
In the diving events,
Trent Makowiec swept the top spot in both the one meter and three meter dive, scoring 356.40 and 335.55, respectively. To see the full results from the meet,
