(RESULTS) GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's swimming and diving team stayed hot on Saturday afternoon as they took out both Grove City and Fredonia in Alumni Pool. The Knights went on to set five new pool records during the meet.

Geneseo came out strong, setting a pool record in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:33.49. The team of Ben Ludlow, Jack Cimorelli, Mark Crocker, and Jake Nielsen combined to set the record. Sam Matthews had an outstanding day in the pool for the Knights, setting pool records in the 100-yard freestyle (46.57), 200-yard freestyle (1:41.37), and was a part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that set a pool record (1:23.44). Joining Matthews was, Jake Nielsen, Jordan Nielsen, and Mark Crocker. Jake Nielsen led off the relay and set a record for the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.15.

The Knights won 11 total swim events during the meet, and took first in both diving events. Trent Makowiec scored 332.30 in the one-meter dive and 357.30 in the three-meter dive. Geneseo will continue its homestand next weekend when they host Alfred State on Friday at 6 p.m.
