Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team couldn't remain unbeaten in SUNYAC play this weekend as they fell to Cortland, 7-2.
Alex Galle and
Kylie Seiler opened up the match with a dominant performance at first doubles, earning an 8-1 victory. After dropping the third doubles match,
Abigail Rockwood and
Julia Paolino looked to give the Knights a 2-1 advantage heading to singles, but ultimately dropped a close match, 8-6.
Galle took home the other point for Geneseo, winning at first singles 7-5, 6-3. Seiler dropped a tight match at second, 6-4, 6-3, while Rockwood battled to a 7-5, 6-3 defeat at third singles.
Katie Kujawa and
Alexandra Suslan lost by scores of 6-4, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-1 at fifth and sixth singles, respectively. Paolino couldn't pull out a victory at fourth singles, dropping a 6-3, 6-3 decision.
The Knights will head to Binghamton next weekend to close out the SUNYAC regular season with three matches in three days.
