GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's swimming & diving team knocked off the 16th-ranked Case Western Reserve Spartans, 186-114, on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Pool on Senior Day.
Sophomore Jordan Nielsen earned first-place finishes in the 50 free and 100 free and anchored the Knights' first place 200 medley relay team as well, teaming with sophomores Mark Crocker and Ben Ludlow alongside junior Jack Cimorelli. Cimorelli earned a first-place finish in the 100 breast and 200 IM while Crocker won the 100 fly and Ludlow swept the 200 fly and 200 back. First-year Griffin Merkling won the 100 back as well. Geneseo divers swept the boards as first-year Trent Makowiec won the one-meter and first-year Jacob Calus took first off the three-meter board.
Geneseo celebrated its senior class, honoring Alex Jakubiak, Sean McClellan, Matthew Triaszin, Connor Towers, Ben Wilcox, Corey Wirth and James Wun in a pre-meet ceremony. The Knights' Class of 2022 has led the team to a pair of SUNYAC Championships in 2019 and 2020.
