PITTSFORD, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year Penelope Greene finished first overall with a time of 15:10.7 in her collegiate debut as the Knights placed first at the Rodenbeck Invitational on Friday night at St. John Fisher.
Greene topped the field in the 4k race, followed closely by first-year Greta Flanagan in fifth (15:41.9), first-year Katie Grossman in sixth (15:42.8) and sophomore Emily Miller in sixth overall (15:44.3). First-year Lejla Borcilo finished out the Knights' top five with a 10th place finish, crossing the line in 15:58.2.
The Knights will race again on Saturday, Sept. 11 when they travel to Hanover, N.H. to take part in the Maribel Sanchez Southern Invitational hosted by Dartmouth.
