Women's Tennis Closes Out Fall Campaign with 9-0 Victory at Houghton

HOUGHTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team closed out their fall 2021 season with a convincing 9-0 victory at Houghton College on Tuesday afternoon.

In doubles action, Alex Galle and Rory Tobin kicked things off with an 8-0 win at first doubles, and then the Knights picked up two wins at second and third doubles with scores of 8-2 in each. Julianna Schulz and Grace Klomp teamed up at second, while Natalia Krol and Kylie Seiler were at third.

Both Krol and Galle earned shutout wins at first and second singles, respectively. Tobin sealed the win for Geneseo at fourth singles with a 6-1 6-2 victory, which marked the fifth and deciding point. At third singles, Schulz tallied at 6-2 6-1 win, while Klomp won at fifth 6-0 6-1 and Seiler won at sixth 6-0 6-2.

The Knights will return to action in March, with a match against RIT at home on the 23rd at 3:00 p.m.
