ROCHESTER, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior Windsor Ardner earned a first-place finish, pacing the Knights to a team win at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational on Saturday morning in Rochester.
Ardner won the 5k race with a time of 18:11.1, edging teammate Kathleen McCarey, who placed second with a time of 18:13.9. Juniors Rachel Hirschkind and Ciara Knott placed sixth and seventh, respectively, followed closely by first-year Penelope Greene who crossed eighth.
Geneseo will race again when the team hosts the Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Geneseo Warplane Museum.
