GLASSBORO, N.J. - SUNY Geneseo juniors Kathleen McCarey and Windsor Ardner placed within the top five as the Knights took second in the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan on Saturday.
McCarey and Ardner came in fourth and fifth, finishing at 21:50.5 and 21:51.9, respectively. First-year Penelope Greene finished 12th overall, crossing in 22:18.5 while junior Rachel Hirschkind cross in 15th at 22:45.0. Junior Marcie Hogan rounded out the Knights' top five with a 19th place finished (22:50.9) while Ciara Knott and Greta Flanagan each finished top-30.
The Knights earned their No. 10 national ranking, finishing just 27 points behind No. 1 Johns Hopkins and placing ahead of No. 30 St. Olaf, No. 32 Haverford and No. 29 Lynchburg.

BUFFALO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year Arianna Whittaker finished ninth overall to lead the Knights to fourth place at the Canisius Alumni Classic on Saturday.
First-year Arianna Whittaker turned in a 19:54.9 finish in the 5k race to cross in ninth as the first Knight across the line. First-year Lejla Borcilo finished 12th (19:55.5) and senior Tess Duignan crossed is 18th (20:05.1). Lilly Fowler-Conner and Gabby McCarthy rounded out the Knights' top five while Marie Naudus and Isabella Cottone each finished top 50 to finish the Knights' top seven.
The Knights finished fourth overall behind NCAA Division II Daemen, NCAA Division I Canisius and RIT. The squad finished ahead of NCAA Division I Niagara, St. Bonaventure and Robert Morris.
