BOCA RATON, FLA. – SUNY Geneseo junior Paige Turcotte notched first and second place finishes as the Knights fell to hosts Florida Atlantic, 222-77, Saturday afternoon.
Turcotte placed first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:25.75 and added a second place finish in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:15.33. First-year Lauren Sposili contributed a pair of second place finishes in the 1000 freestyle and 500 freestyle, with times of 10:57.58 and 5:23.84, respectively. Sophomore Megan Palmer clinched a third place finish in the 100 yard back (1:01.55) and teamed with Junior Noelle Staso, Junior Olivia Hilt, and Junior Deidra Osula to place second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:52.16. Senior Samantha Reichman finished the afternoon with two third-place finishes with a score of 224.45 from the one-meter board and a 256.70 score from the three-meter board.
The Knights fall to 1-1 opposite NCAA Division I competition this season and will compete on the road at Case Western on Saturday, Jan. 18th at 1:00 PM.
