GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomore Megan Palmer finished first in the 100 back, 200 back and swam a leg of the Knights' first place 200 medley relay as Geneseo defeated visiting Grove City, 147-120, on Saturday at Alumni Pool.
Palmer clocked in at 1:01.04 in the 100 back while timing out at 2:13.23 in the 200 back. She teamed with first-year Lauren Sposili, junior Deidra Osula and junior Maddie Knight to finish the 200 medley relay in 1:50.13. The Knights finished in first place in nine out of 10 events before swimming exhibition the rest of the way.
Prior to the meet, the Knights honored their four-member senior class. Seniors Annabelle Anich, Julia Caldwell, Sophia Farchione and Samantha Reichman were each honored. In four years with the team, the men's and women's senior class has combined for 44 dual meet wins and six SUNYAC Championships.
Geneseo improves to 3-0 in dual meets and will return to the pool on Friday, Nov. 15 when they host State University of New York Athletic Conference rival Cortland.
