Women's Tennis Falls To Oneonta in SUNYAC Semifinals

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team fell to Oneonta, 5-0, in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) semifinal match on Saturday afternoon at Binghamton Tennis Complex. 

Senior Sam Montague and junior Dana Sorrentino fell just short at first doubles, dropping their match, 8-7, while sophomores Julianna Schulz and Natalia Krol fell 8-7 at second doubles. First-year Kylie Seiler and sophomore Grace Klomp fell, 8-5, as the Knights entered singles play trailing, 3-0.

In singles, sophomore Sophia Alkhouri Stuart forced a third set with a 6-0 second-set victory, but the Knights dropped two singles points to finish the match. At completion, the Red Dragons earned the 5-0 victory. 

Oneonta advances to face New Paltz in the SUNYAC Final. Geneseo will resume its season in the spring.
