ONEONTA, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomores Gretchen Ayoub, Dana Sorrentino and Cate Gluchowski each earned a pair of victories to lead the Knights to a 9-0 victory over host Hartwick on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sorrentino teamed with junior Sam Montague at first doubles to earn an 8-1 victory while Gluchowski partnered with first-year Sophia Alkhouri Stuart and Ayoub paired with first-year Grace Klomp to earn a pair of 8-0 sweeps at second and third doubles, respectively.
- Alkhouri Stuart earned a first singles victory, 6-0, 6-4, while Sorrentino gutted out a 7-5, 6-4 win at second singles and Montague won 6-2, 6-0 at the third flight.
- Klomp, Gluchowski and Ayoub each earned 6-0, 6-0 victories at fourth, fifth and sixth singles, respectively.
