ROCHESTER, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior Vanessa Lam-Tran earned a win in straight sets in second singles but it wasn't enough as the Knights fell, 7-2, to nearby rival Rochester on Thursday afternoon.

Lam-Tran took a 6-4, 6-2 victory at the second flight, while first-year Cate Gluchowski grabbed an 8-3 pro-set victory at sixth singles. Senior Lauren Salzano and junior Nina Lurie nearly earned a win at first doubles, but fell short, 8-6. 

The Knights move to 10-8 on the year and will host RIT on Thursday, April 19, the team's only home match of the spring.
