GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year Mako Tanaka captured wins at both first singles and second doubles while seniors Marylen Santos and Cat Crummey took first doubles to lead the Knights over Oneonta, 9-0, Tuesday afternoon.
Crummey and Santos also collected points in number-two and number-three singles, respectively, while senior Mai Hashimoto joined Tanaka in second doubles and also came away with the win at number-four singles. Junior Maggie Hale teamed with sophomore Lauren Salzano to take number three doubles as Hale was victorious in number-five singles and Salzano recorded a win at number-six singles.
Geneseo is scheduled to face New Paltz this Friday at 3:30 p.m. before heading to the ITA Tournament hosted by William Smith from Saturday, Sept. 26, to Monday, Sept. 28, to close out the month.
