GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior Minxuan Yuan was was a double-winner, but it was Williams Smith slipping past the Knights, 5-4, in women's tennis action, Wednesday.
Yuan teamed up with her sister, junior Dexuan Yuan, to earn the second-doubles point and later defeated Annie Venditti, 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.
William Smith (11-4) earned two doubles points and won three singles matches, including two that went three sets, to defeat host Geneseo (15-4).
The Knights return to action on April 26, traveling to The College of New Jersey for a 3:30 p.m. match in their final tune-up before competing in the NCAA Division III Tournament which commences on May 5.
