GENESEO, N.Y – SUNY Geneseo junior Dexuan Yuan won at number-two singles and teamed with twin sister Minxuan Yuan to earn the victory at number-two doubles to lead the Knights to a 7-2 win of Nazareth College, Thursday.
"We needed our depth to carry us today," said head coach Jim Chen. "With our top player slowed with an injury, we were still able to win the match against a very strong opponent."
Also winning two matching for the Knights were first-year Maggie Hale and classmate Karli Hollins, who teamed up to win at No. 3 doubles as well as at No. 5 and No. 4 singles, respectively.
The Knights return to action this weekend traveling to William Smith to compete in the Hosking Tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
