LONDON, Ont. – SUNY Geneseo junior Cassie Goodman finished 18th out of 163 runners to lead the Knights to ninth place out of 18 teams at the Western Invitational, hosted by Western (Ontario) University, Saturday.
Goodman covered the 5-kilometer course in 18:57, leading a group of four Knights that finished in the top-50. Junior
Keira Wood crossed the finish line in 41st place, followed closely by first-year
Marissa Bellusci in 42nd place as both were credited with a 19:20 clocking. Senior
Bekah Steinke finished in 45th, three seconds behind her two teammates.
Geneseo will take next weekend off before hosting the Geneseo Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Letchworth State Park.
