GENESEO, N.Y-- SUNY Geneseo sophomore Marylen Santos won at number-one singles and teamed with junior Amanda Rosati to earn the victory at number-one doubles to lead the Knights to a 9-0 shutout of Oneonta, Saturday, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play. Geneseo improved to 5-0 this season with the victory, including an undefeated 4-0 mark in conference competition.
Santos defeated Brynn Sussman, 6-3, 6-1, at first singles, after she and Rosati registered a 8-4 win over Sussman and Lauren Skolnick at first doubles.
Junior Dexuan Yuan also registered victory at number-two singles with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout of Emily Maggiore, as well as at number-two doubles, pairing with twin sister Minxuan Yuan to best Maggiore and Colette Lankowicz, 8-3.
Knights look to stay undefeated this Wednesday (Sept. 18), hosting Fredonia for a 3:30 p.m. match.
