HANOVER, Ind. - SUNY Geneseo junior Cassie Goodman finished 84th out of 280 runners to lead the Knights to 16th place out of 32 teams at the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships, hosted by Hanover (Ind.) College.
Goodman crossed the 6-kilometer finish line in 22:30.9, followed by sophomore Winny Chen in 93rd place with a time of 22:35.5.
Junior Joanna Castrogivanni placed 105th (22:40.8), while junior Keira Wood (22:47.4) and sophomore Jacquie Huben (22:52.6) finished 127th and 141st, respectively, to round out the Geneseo scoring five runners.
Senior Bekah Steinke placed 151st (22:56.8) while junior Alyssa Knott was 186th in 23:16.8.
Geneseo compiled 406 points, as Johns Hopkins totaled 85 points to win the team title, followed by Williams (Mass.) with 137 and Middlebury (Vt.) with 185. St. Scholastica's (Minn.) Chelsea Johnson won the individual title in 21:11.7
