GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior Genny Corcoran was named State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year while first-year Windsor Ardner was selected as SUNYAC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Year, announced Thursday.

Corcoran completed her senior season having never finished any lower than second-place. She earned first-place finishes in the YellowJacket Invitational, Mike Woods Invitational, Lehigh Paul Short Run, Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle and SUNYAC Championships before placing second at the Atlantic Regional and NCAA Division III Championships. Corcoran led Geneseo to its ninth-straight SUNYAC title, its fifth-consecutive Atlantic Regional Championship and a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Championships.

Ardner earned SUNYAC Rookie of the Year after finishing as the top first-year in the SUNYAC Championships, placing fifth overall, the third Knight across the finish, with a time of 23:15.8. She finished sixth overall at the YellowJacket Invitational, eighth overall at the Mike Woods Invitational and placed 89th overall, the second Knight to finish, at the NCAA Championships as Geneseo placed 10th.

Corcoran becomes the 13th Knights to claim the individual SUNYAC Championship and the third to be named SUNYAC Runner of the Year since its implementation in 2016. Geneseo has earned the honor each of the past four years. Ardner is the fifth Knight to earn SUNYAC Rookie of the Year in the seven-year history of the honor.
