PITTSFORD, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo first-year Ciara Knott finished first out of 125 runners to lead the Knights to a first-place finish at the St. John Fisher Terry Rodenbeck Invitational, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Knott covered the 4,000-meter course in a time of 15:11.9, besting the field by over 13 seconds
- Four more Knights finished in the top-10. First-year Tori Fears placed fourth (15:43.3) followed by classmates Marcie Hogan (15:49.2) and Rachel Hirschkind (15:51.5) in sixth and seventh, resepectively.
- Junior Roisin O'Neill placed 10th (16:06.8) to complete Geneseo's top five.
- The Knights compiled a winning score of 28 to edge runner-up RIT (33) and the host Cardinals (93) in the 10-team field.
