Women's Tennis Falls in Spring Opener at Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team opened their spring break trip with a match against NAIA opponent, Asbury College, falling, 9-0.

Senior Vanessa Lam-Tran teamed with first-year Julianna Schulz at first doubles, and earned a team-high five games in singles, falling 6-3, 6-2. First-years Natalia Krol and Grace Klomp fell, 8-2, at second doubles while juniors Sam Montague and Dana Sorrentino dropped third doubles by the same score.

Geneseo will resume action on Thursday when they face Virginia Wesleyan in their second of three matches in Hilton Head.
