GENESEO, N.Y. -SUNY Geneseo junior Samantha Reichman was named State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Diver of the Year while sophomore Deidra Osula earned SUNYAC Swimming of the Year honors to lead 14 Knights that landed All-SUNYAC nods.
Reichman finished first in the one-meter and three-meter events at the SUNYAC Championships to earn her second and third conference crown. She went on to qualify for the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, where she placed seventh in the one-meter and fifth in the three-meter earning All-America awards in both events.
Osula placed first in five events at the SUNYAC Championships, qualifying for the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. On the national stage, Osula finished an All-American seventh in the 50 free, setting a Geneseo record with a time of 23.26. In the 100 free, Osula finished 12th to earn All-America Honorable Mention with a time of 51.22, the second-fastest time in program history. She also set a program-record in the 100 fly, finishing in 56.33.
Joining Reichman and Osula as first team all-conference selections were sophomores Maddie Knight, Kelly Lennon, Celeste Pace, Lauren Siegel, Noelle Staso, Paige Turcotte and Rachel Wallisky and seniors Nancy Nasky and Sydney Ng.
