GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo women's soccer senior back Taylor Clar, senior forward Domenica Piccoli and sophomore forward Hannah Sullivan were each named College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District, announced Thursday.
The 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The Geneseo trio moves on to the national ballot where they will each be considered for Academic All-America status. Only nine Geneseo student-athletes have received Academic All-American distinction, most recently with men's cross country and trackd & field senior Sean McAneny earning the honor last spring.
Clar is an accounting major with a 3.82 cumulative GPA. A three-time All-SUNYAC selection, she was named CoSIDA Academic All-District last season and earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region and Scholar All-America a year ago.
Piccoli is a childhood and special education major carrying a 3.62 cumulative GPA. She scored two goals in the Knights' SUNYAC Semifinal win over Plattsburgh, 3-2, to extend her team lead to 12 goals on the year.
Sullivan carries a 3.94 cumulative GPA as an adolescent english education major. She leads the Knights with 27 points on nine goals and nine assists.
