BROCKPORT, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior forward Audrey Reid and senior midfielder Leah Greene netted two goals apiece as the eighth-ranked Knights locked up a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) playoff berth with a 4-0 victory over Brockport on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Reid scored the first of her two goals in the 32nd minute, firing a shot that came off the crossbar and in, to put the Knights ahead, 1-0.
Reid scored again in the second half, netting her ninth goal in the Knights' past four games.
The Knights clinch a postseason berth for the fifth consecutive season, and have advanced to the SUNYAC finals in three of the past four years.
Reid has scored nine goals in four games to increase her total to 14 goals on the year, the most by a Knight since Greene scored 15 in 2014.
Reid has scored at least once in six consecutive games, tying Greene for the second-longest streak in program history. Lynn Ratzel holds the record, scoring in eight straight games during the 1982 season.
Greene pushed her career goals tally to 24, moving into 13th all-time in Geneseo Women's Soccer history.
The Knights return to action on Friday, October 13 when they play host to Cortland in another SUNYAC tilt.
