GENESEO, N.Y. - After posting a pair of double-doubles and leading SUNY Geneseo to two conference wins, sophomore forward McKenna Brooks was named State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week.
Brooks averaged a double-double with 15.5 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game in a pair of SUNYAC road victories last week. She started with 15 points and 10 rebounds while adding four steals and a pair of blocked shots in a 55-38 victory at Oneonta on Friday. The win clinched the regular season SUNYAC crown and top seed in the SUNYAC Tournament for the Knights. Against New Paltz, Brooks compiled 16 points and 11 boards in Saturday's 56-39 victory that snapped the Hawks' nine-game winning-streak.
Brooks and the Knights will return to action on Friday, Feb. 17 when they play host to Oswego in another SUNYAC battle.
