GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior outfielder Danni Napoli was named State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week after leading the Knights toa 6-0 record this week and writing her name in the Geneseo record book.
Napoli batted .650 (13-for-20) in six games this week, hitting four doubles, two home runs and driving in eight RBI as the Knights went 6-0, including four conference wins. On Friday against Buffalo State, Napoli belted her 19th-career home run, setting the Geneseo all-time record for career home runs, as part of a 6-for-8 performance with three doubles, three runs scored and four RBI. Against Fredonia on Sunday, Napoli went 4-for-6 in the two games combined, smashing another home run against the Blue Devils. She ranks second in the league in runs scored (22), RBI (21) and home runs (4).
