PITTSFORD, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo first-year Nick Andrews finished second out of 100 runners to lead the Knights to a first-place finish at the St. John Fisher Terry Rodenbeck Invitational, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Andrews covered the 6,000-meter course in a time of 19:53.0, less than 11 seconds behind overall winner Aleksei Bingham from RIT.
- Three more Knights finished among the next four finishers. First-year Henry Goca crossed fourth (20:18.4), first-year Ezra Ruggles placed fifth (20:24.1) and first-year Logan Linares ended up sixth (20:25.9)
- Geneseo placed five runners in the top 11 for a winning score of 27 points to out-distance runner-up RIT (33) and third-place Nazareth (91) in the nine-team field.
