Men's Cross Country Places 10th At NCAA Championships

WINNECONNE, Wisc. – SUNY Geneseo junior Sean McAneny finished and All-American 25th to lead the Knights to 10th place out of 32 teams at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships, Saturday, at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wisc. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • McAneny covered the eight-kilometer circuit in a time of 24:52.9.
  • Sophomore Matt Sayre was the Knights' second finisher with a 62nd-place (25:20.7) effort.
  • Sophomore Bradley Farnham placed 106th (25:38.8), followed by seniors Sean Welch in 120th (25:43.4) and Luke Holtzman in 149th (25:53.8) to close the Knights' top-five.
  • Junior Jack Tate placed 154th (25:54.4) while senior John Ripa ended up 271st (27:31.9).
