Nick D’Amuro ’13 enters his fourth season as an assistant coach at his alma mater, mentoring the Knights’ throwers.

Under D’Amuro’s tutelage, Alexandria Barlowe ’19 placed second in the weight throw at the SUNYAC Indoor Championships and third in the hammer at the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships during the 2018 campaign before placing third in both the shot put and weight throw at the 2019 SUNYAC Indoor Championships. She graduated second in Geneseo history in the shot put and third in the weight throw.

D’Amuro is currently a full-time secondary social studies teacher in the Holley Central School District and also coaches track & field and football for the Hawks. In track & field, he has guided three Genesee Region champions and 19 Section V qualifiers, including 10 finalists and one champion.

D’Amuro graduated from Geneseo with a bachelor’s degree in history and adolescent education along with a minor in political science. He later received a master’s degree in adolescent social studies education from Brockport in 2016.

A four-year member of the Knights’ track & field team, D’Amuro was a multiple SUNYAC qualifier in the shot put, weight throw and hammer, competing on four SUNYAC Championship teams (two indoor, two outdoor).
