Knights Host Geneseo Early Season Invite

GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomore Austin Cutler earned a first-place finish in the 110 hurdles while sophomore Lorenzo Mazzuca won the steeplechase to pace the Knights in the Geneseo Early Season Invite, on the Geneseo campus on Sunday afternoon.

Cutler crossed in 15.78 followed closely by first-year Jacob Converse, who took third overall with a 15.96 finishing time. 

Mazzuca bested the steeplechase field, crossing the finish line in 9:47.71. 

The Knights placed two teams in the top three in the 4x400-meter relay. Seniors Brian Windisch, Nate Lo Parco and Chris Odin teamed with first-year Will Schultz to take second at 3:29.15. Sophomores Mazzuca, Gillan Faulkner and Luke Holtzman joined first-year Bailey Plummer to take third (3:31.45).

Geneseo will continue its outdoor season on Saturday, April 8 at the Roc City Classic, hosted by Nazareth.
