Men's Track & Field Hosts Early Season Invitational

GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior John Panus finished first in the 5,000-meter run to kick off the outdoor track & field season for the Knights at the Early Season Invitational, Wednesday afternoon.

Panus crossed the finish line with a time of 15:32.04, leading a pack of four Geneseo runners in the top-five. 

Junior transfer Alex Hall was also victorious for the Knights, leading a Geneseo sweep of the top-three spots in the steeplechase with a 9:54.36 clocking. 

First-year Joseph Strassfield, junior Austin Donroe, senior Michael Segelin and sophomore William Planeta teamed up to finish first in the 400 relay (42.84). 

The Knights are next scheduled to compete on Sunday (Apr. 3) at the Yellowjacket Invitational at Rochester.
