GENESEO, N.Y. – A total of 12 members on the SUNY Geneseo track & field programs were invited to represent the Knights at the 2016 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships this weekend. The team will be traveling to the Bear Recreation and Athletic Center in Grinnell, Iowa, on March 11 and 12 with Grinnell College serving as the official host.

On the women's side, junior Alexa Wandy enters the weekend sixth in the triple jump (11.77m, 38' 7.5"). The mark is a school record and was set at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships, which saw Wandy take first in the event.

Sophomore Camille Wutz stands ninth in the nation in the long jump (5.71m, 18' 9") as the mark is a school record and landed her a runner-up finish in the event at the SUNYAC Championships.

Senior Jacqueline Huben enters the national meet 13th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:25.57, which also earned her the crown at the conference championships. Senior Winny Chen, senior Kylie Ryan, first-year Olivia Ryan and junior Sara Rosenzweig are set to compete in the distance medley relay this weekend. The Knights rank ninth in the event with a time of 11:58.16 that was notched at Tufts' Final Qualifying Meet last Friday.

For the men, sophomore Isaac Garcia-Cassani looks to improve upon his All-America third-place finish in the mile at last year's NCAA Championships. He enters the weekend sixth in the event with a time of 4:09.69 that was good for second place at the SUNYAC Championships.

Garcia-Cassani will team up with senior Ryan Moynihan, first-year James Laguerre II and first-year Lorenzo Mazzuca to run the distance medley relay. Their time of 9:59.99 currently ranks third in the nation.

Senior Aidan Fullerton enters the championships in second place in the heptathlon with a program-record 4,998 points. Fullerton tallied the score at the SUNYAC Championships to come away with the individual title.

Events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
